What Actually Happens?

Step 1. The Patch Test
Before every treatment a Patch test must be carried out to check any sensitivity or allergy to any of the products being applied. This needs to be done 48 hours before your appointment. You can do this yourself at home and the patch test will be posted to you or given to you in advance. So when booking please bear this in mind and allow enough time for the patch test to take place. This is advised to complete before every treatment..

Step 2. The Consultation
The treatment is carried out in the comfort of your own home. I'll start with a thorough consultation to check you are suitable for the treatment and to determine the look you would like to achieve. 

Step 3. The Relaxing Bit
I provide the comfortable recliner and you just sit back, close your eyes and relax. I'll pop some relaxing music on, or if you have something you’d like to listen to then please feel free to have this playing, cover yourself with a blanket if you’d like to feel cosy and the treatment will begin. There will be 4 different products placed on to the lashes and I can keep you informed of what is going on at every step, unless you’d like to just drift off.

Step 4. The Wow
I'll do a thorough clean up to make sure you are left with no stickiness or tint left around your eyes and apply a rejuvenating eye cream. Then help adjust you back to the daylight and give you the big reveal of your new lashes! You'll be wowed by the results and then left to get on with your day or evening as normal!

Can everyone have the treatment?

Unfortunately those who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot have the treatment. This treatment has been carried out millions of times all over the world and is very safe but as with all tint services a patch test is required on all clients planning to have an LVL Lashlift and when you book in I will send you the consultation online which goes through a list of medical conditions that may effect you having the treatment. 

What else do you need to know?

On the day of your appointment you should avoid wearing Mascara and any other eye make-up. Please also avoid applying any oil based products to your eyes as this can affect the outcome of the treatment.

AFTER YOUR LVL TREATMENT:

• For the first 24 hours after your treatment it’s important not to allow water to come in to contact with your lashes

• For 2 days afterwards do not steam your face, use a steam bath, swim or wash your face with hot water

• Do not use waterproof mascara

• Use oil free make-up remover if mascara is worn (only use a water-based mascara)

• Don’t rub your eyes when washing your face – always pat the lashes dry after cleansing

• Ensure lashes are not manipulated into different positions (e.g. when sleeping, cleansing the face, applying moisturiser or cosmetics)

To keep your lashes looking lovely for longer, it is recommended to use the specially formulated Nouveau Lashes Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum at home to help nourish and strengthen lashes and keep them looking healthy. Ultimately, this means you can enjoy the effects of your LVL treatment for longer.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Does LVL Lash Lift damage your natural lashes?
The LVL lash lift products have been developed by Nouveau Lashes and are packed with vital ingredients like collagen and oats to enhance your lash health and strength, whilst minimising the risk of damage. All lash technicians offering the official LVL lash lift are fully trained directly by Nouveau Lashes and fully insured.

Can you still wear mascara with an LVL?
Although an LVL treatment includes a lash tint which helps to create the appearance of longer and thicker lashes without the need for mascara, it’s still completely safe to wear should you wish to enhance the results further. However, we recommend following the aftercare advice and waiting until 48 hours after your treatment.

Can you get an LVL treatment wet?
For the first 48 hours after your treatment, avoid getting your eye area wet. This is because your eyelashes can take up to 48 hours to lock into place and if they get hot or wet, the lift will drop. After this time period, there are no restrictions with an LVL lash lift, so you can continue to shower, swim and use saunas without protecting your eye area.

Is there an age limit to have an LVL lash lift?
Anyone from the age of 18 can have an LVL lash lift. This treatment is perfect for mature eyes as it can instantly open and refresh the eye area, so you appear bright eyed and ready to go.
